Truevent has been designed for builders, insulation applicators and home owners as an easy-to-install, economical way to allow unrestricted air flow between the soffit and attic vents in new and existing homes, and at the same time effectively block heat loss, saving you money.

TrueVent has numerous other advantages over other forms of venting...

Truevent prevents blown, loose fill or batt insulation from blocking eave vents. Truevent reduces condensation in attics. Truevent controls ice build-up and leakage into the home. Truevent allows maximum insulation thickness in the attic. Truevent is not affected by moisture, mildew or rot. Truevent will not twist, delaminate or warp after installation. Truevent's full 4 foot length and built-in flange make for easy installation.

How does it work?

Installation is easy...For best results, install one truevent unit between roof rafters that are 16" apart. Where rafters are 24" apart, two truevents should be used for maximum ventilation.

1. For new construction install TrueVents to the underside of the roof sheathing before finished ceiling is installed. Place vent between the roof rafters and slide down into the soffit area. Use 9/16" staples at 6" centers in each flange to hold in place. Blanket insulation material should be packed around the vent and at the plate to prevent blown or loose fill insulation from falling into the soffit area.

2. For existing construction place the TrueVent between the roof rafters and slide down the underside of the roof sheathing over the existing insulation material in the soffit area. Use 9/16" staples at 6" centers in each flange to hold it in place. Blanket insulation material should be repackaged around the vent and at the plate to prevent blown or loose fill from falling into the soffit area.

Bottom line

You will now have the necessary air flow in your attic, reduced condensation and reduced energy consumption, saving you money and adding to your comfort.
